Welcome to Love Arts Leeds 2014!

It’s the 4th festival in Leeds, the first of its kind to be organised by an NHS Trust in England. The aim is to get people thinking and talking about mental health and to reduce the related stigma that so many people experience. The arts are a fantastic vehicle to explore these complex issues as well as an important medium for participation and inclusion for people affected by mental health difficulties.

This year a new secret ingredient will be added to the Festival mix: the Love Arts Conversation. This two day festival flavoured conference will be taking place in Leeds City Centre at a variety of major arts venues, and will be your chance to have your say and possibly hatch the next great arts and mental health project.

Alongside Love Arts Conversation there will be the usual eclectic mix of events, exhibitions, and performances; some of which have been organised by Love Arts Leeds, some commissioned by others, many already planned and which the festival is supporting because they fit with the aims of the festival.
