We’re Having a Fundraising Second Hand Book Sale on Saturday 30th January!

HELP! We need your help…

Design by MissyRedBoots

To help raise funds for the Big Bookend, we are having a second hand book sale on Saturday 30th January, 12-4pm hosted by our friends at the brilliant Hyde Park Book Club, Leeds.

If you have any books you would like to donate to the cause, please come along on the day and drop them off with us and choose a book for free as a thank you. It will be a good opportunity to clear your shelves of all those books you have already read, or perhaps will never read, and to find some more treats and treasures.

There will be a book raffle too, and anything else we can think of to raise some much needed funds!

Thank you and we look forward to seeing you on Saturday 30th January.

Finding the Hyde Park Book Club

AuPZRvKQThe Hyde Park Book Club (HPBC) is next to a fancy dress shop called Best Kept Secret on Headingley Lane. If you’re coming from Leeds city centre on Woodhouse Lane, keep going, across the crossroads at Hyde Park corner, as if you’re going to Headingley. Just after you pass Victoria Road (on your left) you’ll see a forecourt for an old petrol station which is now the fancy dress shop. The HPBC is directly to the left of that. There’s lots of free parking immediately outside of the HPBC.

If you can’t come to our book sale, would you consider donating to the Big Bookend?  Small amounts of money can make a huge difference to us. If you think you can help us by donating  (Our Gift Aid number is XT34291) then there’s more information here.

The hard working Big Bookend team are all volunteers who have come together to make something big happen for the city of Leeds because we want to make a difference to the city we live in and because we all have a passion for words. The Big Bookend is a non profit making company limited by guarantee with charitable objectives. Any extra money generated from the Big Bookend is put straight back into the fund and used for the next Big Bookend festival and associated events.
