Leeds Lit Fest Shortlisted for Best Literary Festival in the Saboteur Awards 21. Please Vote!

Leeds literature has made the shortlist in 2 categories of the Saboteur Awards 21! The Big Bookend is a partner in Leeds Lit Fest and we would love to win the Best Literary Festival category for the second year running and Best Anthology for This New North but we can only do so if you vote for us. Voting closes this Wednesday (5th) at midday!

You only have to vote in THREE categories for your vote to count.

BEST LITERARY FESTIVAL: Leeds Lit Fest. In March we delivered 25 digital events in challenging circumstances. LLF21 was really well attended and hugely enjoyed by our audiences. The festival partners of which the Leeds Library is the principal partner had to be extremely creative in the programme delivery and very adaptable to the ever changing circumstances.

BEST ANTHOLOGY: This New North ed by SJ Bradley and Anna Chilvers and published by Valley Press. This Anthology has come out of the Northern Short Story Festival’s Academy programme which champions Yorkshire writers. There’s some fantastic new Northern writing here.

There are lots of great writers, poets and publishers to vote for but in case you need a suggestion for your third vote, Amanda Huggins is an award winning writer based in Yorkshire nominated for both BEST NOVELLA and BEST SHORT STORY.
